Project Cycle Management in Emergencies and Humanitarian Crises

New Version! Handbook for Project Cycle Management (PGC) in Emergencies and Humanitarian Crises

A revised version of the PGC Handbook is now available in PDF format or in hard copy (at headquarters). It can be used with Tdh's harmonized tools, available on the Quality and Accountability Unit's website.

The pros of this version? The tables have been updated based on feedback received (so that they are more clear and easy to use), some information on the Core Humanitarian Standard has been added, various typos have been corrected, and plenty more → here!

PGC workshop! Skills Building Workshop on Project Cycle Management in Emergencies and Humanitarian Crises

A 3 day workshop has been set up to accompany the release of the handbook.

*Who is it for? It is obligatory for all those who collaborate with DAH (at headquarters or in the field).

*Why? To build skills in project cycle management in emergencies and humanitarian crises.

The objective is for the participants to be capable of developing, enforcing, and accompanying projects aligned with Tdh's requirements for quality and accountability in times of emergency and humanitarian crisis. This objective is not only recorded in the Quality and Accountability Unit's 2018 action plan, but also in that of DAH.

*How? Participatory workshop built around both methodological contributions and practical exercises. This workshop combines different tools, methods, and techniques to meet the needs of different learning styles and offer a dynamic workshop.

*Up until now? Currently, DAH collaborators based at headquarters have been trained (13 the first day, and 14 the second and third days), as well as those from two delegations. Also, 56 participated in the workshop in Kenya and South Sudan, nine of which were representatives of Tdh's operational partners.

*And then? By December, the delegations from Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Iraq will also benefit from this workshop. In total, there are nearly 200 collaborators who will be trained to manage the project cycle by the end of 2018.
